Dear Diary: A Justlena Story: Episode 28

Selena walked into the school hallway, her shoulder bag tossed over her shoulder. She smiled as she caught up with Taylor and Demi. ”Hey guys,” She said, with a wide grin on her face as they walked. Taylor took a few glances at Selena, ”Hi.” She said, glancing at her every now and then. ”Alright, spill. What’s with the big smile? You and Justin are official now or what?” She nudged. Selena shook her head, forcing the smile to fall off her face. ”Nothing, it’s nothing…” She trailed off, as they came to a half infront of her locker. ”Shut up, we know you’re lying.” Demi said. ”You’re like… glowing. Oh god, don’t tell me you’re pregnant,” Selena rolled her eyes, hitting Demi on the shoulder. ”No, I’m not pregnant!” She exclaimed in a low tone, as to not draw attention to herself. She bit her lip and fiddled with her hair as she stared at the ground. ”Alright I’ll tell you… but you guys, please don’t freak out.” She said. Taylor stared at her weirdly before nodding. ”We promise. What is it?” She asked. Selena took a deep breath, ”Justin and I had sex…” She mumbled under her breath. Demi raised an eyebrow, ”What?” She asked, ”I didn’t exactly catch that.” She said, before glancing at Taylors confused face. ”I’m pretty sure Taylor didn’t either,” Selena sighed, biting onto her bottom lip while her nails dug into her palm, leaving ‘half-moon’ marks. ”Justin and I had sex… twice…” She trailed off, before looking up. Both of them had a look

Episode #2- Upcycled denim jeans tote bag

In this episode I walk you through step-by-step how to upcycle an old pair of jeans into an tote bag. This environmentally project is great for everyone especially those of you on a budget. There is no need to go out and by fabric for this beginning sewing project. You can get all your materials out of your very own closet! Best part about Episode 2 is that the tote bag you see me making on camera is part of our first Crafty Gemini show giveaway! You will have a chance to win the actual tote bag I make in the tutorial. Good video… clear instructions, clear images, the words before beginning each step help us to know we’re transitioning to a different step. Simple, versatile project. I made a variation of this tote using larger squares to begin with, and used one strap from end to end instead of one on each side. You can leave the pockets on the pants, and then you have pockets on the outside of your tote!

James Burke : Connections, Episode 8, “Eat, Drink and be Merry”, 1 of 5 (CC)

Watch Entire Show: http://www.youtube.com More Shows: http://www.youtube.com Episode 8 of James Burke’s most well-known series “Connections” which explores the surprising and unexpected ways that our modern technological world came into existence. Each episode investigates the background of usually one particular modern invention and how it came into being. These explorations are an attempt to locate the “connections” between various historical figures who seemingly had nothing to do with each other in their own times, however once connected, these same figures combined to produce some of the most profound impacts on our modern day world; in a “1+1=3″ type of way. It is this type of investigation that is the core idea behind the Knowledge Web project, whereby sophisticated software is being developed to attempt to discover these subtle interconnections automatically. See k-web.org. Note This clip contains one of Mr. Burke’s most well-known scenes: the famous “rocket takeoff scene” (also mentioned in re-Connections : see playlists) See channel page for purchase options.

WoW, prophetic words… “What will happen when being debt all the time is the normal way to live?” Those who allready have ” Real Money ” will do just fine, while the whole overinflated credit system (being integrated into the housing market) and all those dependent on it will flounder. Leaving whatever tangible products are left over (such as developed land) to be scavanged by those who had ” Real Money ” all along. Credit is money that doesn’t actually exist.

@murdelabop no he did not, it was Meyer Amschel Rothschild 1744 — 1812 hundred years earlier, jp morgan was born 1837 and he left us with witty quotes such as ¨If you have to ask how much it costs, you can’t afford it¨ basically he never said anything smart

I am not a biologist, nor do I play one on TV, but looking at that segment I would venture that it is a dab of ferrofluid inside an acrylic case (notice the pooling at the bottom of the case).

    • murdelabop 12:28 am on December 30, 2011 Permalink

@JamesBurkeWeb IIRC, the actual quote is “Give me control over a nation’s money, and I care not who makes its laws,” and it is attributed to J. P. Morgan.

“What will happen when being in-debt *all the time* is the normal way to live?”

We sure found out the answer to that, and it was NOT pretty.

    • persianlor 1:00 am on December 30, 2011 Permalink

@JamesBurkeWeb $15 an episode is actually pretty amazing, especially when you put it that way. I wish they sold it per episode. Some episodes are just all that more necessary. Not that I’m saying some are less than others…just that some are more breathtaking. BTW: I just checked…it’s on sale now…for $100. I;m buying it. Who has “the day the universe changed?”

@pavethemoon i think war should be tolerated because humans are the apex predator of the planet. there is no predator that keeps our population in check’ so it is in our nature to kill each other and prevent overpopulation.

    • pavethemoon 6:23 pm on December 17, 2011 Permalink

      My comments:
      14:30 – f bomb; wouldn’t have expected this from a “moderate” show

38:12 – “no one really believes you can never have any war”
I do. There is no justification for war. Ever.

Obama never deserved that award. Kucinich is 100% right. We live in a very Orwellian world.

There is no al Qaeda, only the CIA – and bin Laden is dead.

World War II was not justified, especially since Pearl Harbor was an inside job.

And don’t reply with “chill, dude” because it serves no purpose.

    • qerrtre 7:11 pm on December 17, 2011 Permalink

@dwlwrestling obviously since the senate says YES then its moral

NO the senate was coming from the same mess that bush came from and just because they OK it does not make it right

    • unelmitchell 7:46 pm on December 17, 2011 Permalink

libertarians are just as worse are the republicans to me and i am a indenpendent.

wow, the dems are getting smaller and smaller. Picking on their own moderates. They should embrace the moderates and be a big tent, not throw their modrates like Lieberman to the wolves. Have at it haus!

Hows it feel? Telling the gop to be more “accepting” of their own moderates, but then tearing your own moderates to pieces! What HYPOCRACY.

    • TWmovies 10:45 pm on December 17, 2011 Permalink

joe libberman is the biggest cocksucker in the senate. thats setting the bar high.

    • Etimos 11:34 pm on December 17, 2011 Permalink

and yet you felt the need to comment here. Methinks thou dost protest too much.

    • Rietto 11:41 pm on December 17, 2011 Permalink

@magus1111 It’s like Cenk said… this isn’t the ‘Change we can believe in’. I never would have voted for McCain, but right now, I DO feel duped for having voted for Obama. Watching this bill get gutted and ruined with a pansycake Democrats and fauxgressives dancing around doing nothing but capitulate to the Repubs and their Corporate lobbyists is enough to make me want to just vote libertarian next time around.

    • wutangwutang101 12:09 am on December 18, 2011 Permalink

yooo……. this show is pretty sweet… why the fuck arent you guys on msnbc?

ayo cenk….thanks for reporting the news truthfully and honestly

i think people are finally waking up.

    • elryno79 12:44 am on December 18, 2011 Permalink

Your “army” includes people like me who disagree w/ almost everything you say, but watch because you are entertaining and likeable. You probably have more conservatives like me listening to you than libs listen to Rush. You get 12-13 mil per month, on your “low” end, Rush gets 8 mil per week, I was a math major in college, but even if I were not, I could multiply 8 by 4.28. I do like your show, don’t get me wrong.

    • MrSuperpunch019 1:12 am on December 18, 2011 Permalink

See that’s where we disagree. I want single payer. I don’t like what Obama is proposing, but it;s pretty obvious that our current system is heavily flawed.
As for the whole “evil government” thing. It’s propaganda bs.

    • dwlwrestling 1:53 am on December 18, 2011 Permalink

@MrSuperpunch019 i like the private health care if they just clean up the scams/frauds thats in it now its a good system and put limits on malpractice and it will be fine i don’t want death care it will lead to higher taxes and waiting times and approvals on life needed procedures and why do we need free health care from the government when you can get it free from the state if you qualify

    • dwlwrestling 2:29 am on December 18, 2011 Permalink

@MrSuperpunch019 how is it an ellegal war bush got the approve from the senate to go to war

    • MrSuperpunch019 2:37 am on December 18, 2011 Permalink

I’d argue this nightmare started under reganomics.

    • MrSuperpunch019 2:57 am on December 18, 2011 Permalink

THis nightmare goes back to the day we let bush invade iraq. All these illegal and immoral wars are going to bankrupt the hell out of us.

    • MrSuperpunch019 3:37 am on December 18, 2011 Permalink

Just wondering, you agree with private health care?

    • magus1111 3:46 am on December 18, 2011 Permalink

Unfortunately, from what he’s actually done so far, Obama seems to be just doing more of the same. We haven’t seen him nut up yet, especially on both financial reforms or the health care joke.

    • magus1111 4:21 am on December 18, 2011 Permalink

Bush was spending like someone knowing they are facing bankruptcy, has given up and is maxing out what remains of their credit cards in one last hurrah ! Did you not think the economy would implode after all that spending? Someday someone (US citizens) are going to be left holding the bag, and that has been left to Obama.

    • magus1111 4:38 am on December 18, 2011 Permalink

@dwlwrestling – Have you ever used your insurance? Deathcare is happening right now with the insurance companies in the time it takes to approve, no, more likely disapprove your claim. Also, the economy was going very well, until Bush decided to piss away billions & billions on the wars. Healthcare spending is a drop in the bucket in comparison.

    • unelmitchell 5:20 am on December 18, 2011 Permalink

100% wrong on that issue i see that u dont know the true facts who have started all of this mess.yes it was bush! bush have started with more then a clean slate during his admistration.they should ask the conservative where have all the trillions of dollars that was lefted over during the clinton adminstration have gone?plus on top of everything the tax breaks to the rich 7% &the two wars, the two stimlus that bush had plus borrowing 36 million from china.a trillion is alot more then billions

    • dwlwrestling 5:46 am on December 18, 2011 Permalink

@Rietto you are a idiot none of this bush started it’s all obama’s shit. deathcare and cap and tax is something that obama is trying to start. 1.85 trillion dollar deficit all obama . and his stimulus is failing not bushs stimulus but obama’s and under bush unemployment was 7.5% or less so how is it bush’s fault. do everyone a favor stop drinking the messiah’s cool aid turn the channel from cnn and msnbc sometime and stop listening to the young misinformed morons you might learn something

    • Rietto 6:20 am on December 18, 2011 Permalink

@dwlwrestling “Somehow”? ONly because all that stuff happened on his watch, that’s “how” he gets blamed.
